Abstract

The study, in a chronological order, of the different spellings used for toponyms traditionally translated by "Djeme", makes it possible to propose a coherent explanatory pattern for the use of these spellings before the Ptolemaic period. This overview testifies to the remarkable circulation of theological systems and their continual adaptation to local syntheses.
