Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. Otherwise, an explanation has to be provided in "Comments to the Editor".
- The submission file is in a file format such as : OpenOffice, LibreOffice or Microsoft Word.
- The bibliography is indicated in footnotes. The editorial team recommends in particular the system advised by the Lexikon der Ägyptologie.
- A brief summary of the article (max. 600 characters) is provided in French and in English, as well as 3–5 keywords in French and in English.
- If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the images will need to be provided to the editorial committee preferably in .tif format or .jpg, and the hieroglyphs preferably in .svg format or .tif, .jpg, .png.
- The text has a single spacing and is justified. It uses the font Times New Roman, 12 points. Title hierarchy is clear with minimum formatting.
- Transliteration is in unicode. It preferably uses the Leiden unified Transliteration (www.iae-egyptology.org/the-leiden-unified-transliteration)
- Illustrations, figures and tables are placed at the appropriate positions, in the text rather than at the end. Please include [insert fig. x] where appropriate and include captions for every illustrations with copyrights.
