Revue d’Histoire Contemporaine de l’Afrique (RHCA) est une revue open access d’histoire de l’Afrique à comité de lecture. La revue publie deux numéros thématiques par an et propose différentes rubriques : articles varias, comptes rendus de lecture, entretiens, et sources, terrains & contextes.
About the Journal
The Revue d'Histoire Contemporaine de l'Afrique (RHCA) is a French-language contemporary history journal with an international editorial board that focuses on the contemporary history of the African continent (19th to 21st centuries). Entirely open access, it publishes thematic issues (2 per year) as well as various articles, book reviews, interviews and a ‘Sources, fields & contexts’ section. RHCA publishes peer-reviewed articles in French and provides a forum for African historians to meet and exchange ideas.
RHCA is accredited by the Conseil Africain et Malgache pour l'Enseignement Supérieur (CAMES) as a journal in the Lettres-Sciences Humaines field.

RHCA is a Diamond Open Access journal. It does not charge authors for submitting or publishing their manuscripts, nor does it charge readers for consulting the content it publishes. The content is freely accessible to readers and institutions.
Anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print or link to the full articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without seeking prior permission from the author(s) or the journal, provided that such use complies with the article's licence (see below).
Intellectual Property Rights
The authors retain the copyright for articles published in this journal, with the first publication rights granted to RHCA.
The articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
If authors wish to enter into additional and separate contractual arrangements for subsequent publication (e.g. a book or translation in another journal), they are encouraged to contact the Revue d'histoire contemporaine de l'Afrique and acknowledge its initial publication.
Publisher
The RHCA is hosted by the Bibliothèque de l'Université de Genève on behalf of the FPSE of the University of Geneva using a customised version of the OJS by The Public Knowledge Project (PKP).
Archiving and Preservation
The journal ensures the long-term preservation of its content via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) service.
RHCA also encourages the self-archiving of articles after publication by their authors in open access repositories of their choice, whether it be the submitted version, the accepted version or the published version of the contribution.
