Submissions

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

• The manuscript, in part or in whole, has not been previously submitted or published elsewhere, and is not a translation or adaptation of a previously published article (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
• Do not submit a manuscript if another submission is already under review or in production at Parallèles.
• If you have had a manuscript rejected in the past 12 months, you may only submit a new manuscript after another period of 24 months.
• The manuscript is within the journal’s scope. Note that Parallèles does not consider manuscripts whose primary focus is a comparative analysis of source and target texts limited to the study of translation strategies.
• The manuscript adheres to the submission guidelines published on the Parallèles website.
• The manuscript is submitted as a single Microsoft Word file.
• The manuscript is anonymized: it is your responsibility that your name and affiliation do not appear anywhere in the text.
• All necessary authorization has been obtained from the holders of rights to any works that have been reproduced in the manuscript (illustrations, tables, and any other element subject to copyright protection).
• All works cited are referenced following APA 7th Edition guidelines and the instructions provided in the Stylesheet. We recommend using a reference management tool such as Zotero to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• At step 3 "Enter Metadata", the following information will be provided for all authors of the manuscript: name(s), first name(s), institutional affiliation(s), professional e-mail address(es) and short professional biographies (50-100 words). (Please note that it is MANDATORY to indicate your DETAILED INSTITUTIONAL AFFILIATION(S) in the field BIO STATEMENT by clicking on "Edit" in the section "List of Contributors").
• Please note that manuscripts are not processed during the following holiday periods: 1 July–15 August and 15 December–15 January.
