About the Journal
OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE
Education in debate: comparative analysis is an international scientific journal published in an electronic format. Founded in 2003, it was one of the first electronic journals on education in the Francophone area.
The journal publishes academic work in French or English from several disciplines directly related to education. Its main objective is to provide researchers with an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange and dissemination of educational research, encouraging critical and international reflection.
Via inspirED, we also offer a platform for researchers, education professionals and members of civil society organizations to engage in critical analysis on topics related to the areas covered by the journal.
The journal mainly covers the following topics:
- Right to education
- Education & living together
- International cooperation in education
- Alternative teaching methods
PUBLICATION SCHEDULE
Education in debate: comparative analysis publishes special issues for which it issues calls for papers. The journal also accepts articles outside of special issues (under the “Varia” section) throughout the year.
The average time from submission to publication is 6 months.
OPEN ACCESS DECLARATION
Education in debate: comparative analysis is an open access journal. All contents are immediately and freely available to the public.
Submitting and publishing manuscripts in Education in debate: comparative analysis is free of charge. There are no submission or article processing fees (APC) or other regressive charges related to authorship or publication.
All articles have a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number.

ARCHIVING
This journal ensures the long-term availability and preservation of its content via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).
Education in debate: comparative analysis supports and encourages the self-archiving of articles after publication by their authors in open access repositories of their choice, whether it is the submitted version, the accepted version or the published version of the contribution.
